Hagglund (leg) is on the bench to face Chicago Fire on Saturday.
Analysis: Hagglund was sidelined for a couple of matches while he recovered from a minor injury. While he's now available, he may have to wait at least another week to return to the initial lineup, with Kyle Smith and Andrei Chirila starting in the meantime. Hagglund is leading the team with an average of 5.8 clearances per contest, so he could be a solid defensive option whenever he's back on the field.
Trains with group
Hagglund (leg) trained with the group Wednesday, according to Laurel Pfahler of the Queen City Press.
Analysis: Hagglund is nearing a return to play in the next week or two, as the defender was able to train with the group midweek. This is good news after two games out, as it appears he and Matt Miazga (leg) are on a similar path, potentially gaining back both starting center-backs in the same week. He has started in seven of his eight appearances this season, so this is something to watch as the weekend approaches.
Out vs. NYRB
Hagglund (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game against NY Red Bulls, according to Laurel Pfahler of The Queen City Press.
Analysis: Hagglund suffered an injury during warmups before the match against NYCFC earlier this week, so unsurprisingly, he won't be available here on a quick turnaround. Gilberto Flores should see more playing time as long as Hagglund remains out.

Hagglund was removed from the starting XI for the midweek game versus New York City FC after suffering an injury in warmups.
Analysis: Hagglund has been replaced by Gilberto Flores in the back three and could now miss a few contests pending a diagnosis of his issue. This is the first time Hagglund is not available in the current MLS campaign, and his absence might represent a problem on both boxes, given that he has tallied five shots and 23 clearances over his last three starts.
