Emil Audero
Untested in clean sheet
Audero recorded no saves and allowed zero goals in Sunday's 3-0 win over Pisa.
Analysis: For the first time this season Audero had a quiet afternoon, going untested and securing his 10th clean sheet across 32 Serie A outings. The clean sheet provided a timely confidence boost for a goalkeeper who has been kept busy over the last seven games, producing 18 saves while conceding nine goals, with three shutouts to show for his efforts during that run. Udinese await on Sunday as he looks to carry that momentum forward.
Beaten twice in Lazio fixture
Audero made one save and one clearance and allowed two goals in Monday's 2-1 loss against Lazio.
Analysis: Audero couldn't do a lot more on two excellent finishes by Gustav Tang Isaksen and Tijjani Noslin in the second half. He has shut down the opponents once in the last five games, surrendering 17 goals and making nine saves. Up next, Cremonese will host Pisa on Sunday.
Blown away by Napoli
Audero registered six saves, parried away a PK and allowed four goals in Friday's 4-0 loss versus Napoli.
Analysis: Audero had a rough day at the office as his defense frequently fell apart, but he salvaged his performance with a robust number of saves and by intercepting Scott McTominay's spot-kick in the second half. He has kept two clean sheets and surrendered seven goals in the last five rounds, notching 17 saves and three clearances during that stretch. Up next, Cremonese will host Lazio next Monday.
Keeps clean sheet in draw
Audero registered one save and allowed zero goals in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Torino.
Analysis: Audero made one save in Sunday's 0-0 home draw against Torino, coming up big late on as he denied substitute Sandro Kulenovic in stoppage time with a sharp dive to his right to push the striker's effort wide for a corner and secure the point. He was largely untested for the rest of the match, with Torino producing just one shot on target over 90 minutes in a defensive showing that kept the hosts under wraps but offered nothing going the other way. Audero has now recorded two clean sheets in his last four Serie A appearances, although the result does little to ease Cremonese's relegation pressure as they sit just one point above the drop zone. He will be in for a much tougher assignment on Friday against Napoli.
